On September 16th, Key Capture Energy hosted Commissioner Richard Glick of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission at KCE NY 1.  We discussed the challenges of constructing the first utility-scale battery storage project in the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), including permitting and interconnection hurdles.  We also discussed safety, cybersecurity, and other issues that all forms of generation face.  New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has enacted the most ambitious energy storage target in the nation (3,000 MWs by 2030).  Headquartered in Albany, New York and with a large New York development portfolio, we look forward to participating in the NYISO wholesale market for the decades to come.
