As an industry pioneer in utility scale stand-alone battery energy storage systems, KCE follows the highest industry standards during the development, construction and operations of our projects. Our team prides ourselves on being valued and trusted members of the communities where our projects are located. We work proactively with elected and non-elected officials, fire departments and first responders, community members and other stakeholders to make sure that questions and concerns are addressed during the development process.
Our team is often asked if these systems are safe. The video to the right includes an explainer and visual tour of one of KCE’s operating projects, KCE NY 6, outside of Buffalo, NY which will help explain how battery energy storage systems work and the safety features built into these systems.
