Deep in the Heart of Texas
(clap, clap, clap, clap)
We have broken ground on and are in the process of constructing our first stand-alone energy storage projects in the Lone Star State. Once constructed, our KCE TX projects will provide crucial services to ERCOT while increasing reliability for all Texas electric consumers.
As the Texas electric grid transitions from older, less cost-effective generation to a more renewables-focused energy mix, including a blend of wind and solar, energy storage will be increasingly relied upon to help balance generation, load, and on-demand power when electric prices are high. Our Texas development pipeline is growing, and we are adding more people to our Houston-based team to support our development efforts. As they say, everything is bigger in Texas, and we look forward to being a part of the next generation of the Texas electric grid.
