Joel has worked in the renewables, battery energy storage, bioenergy, and conventional power markets since 2004. He has held several management, operations, commercial, and technical positions throughout the energy project lifecycle and is versed in a wide variety of industry disciplines. His project experience exceeds 35 GW across hundreds of assets including over 15 GW / 48 GWh of battery energy storage. At Key Capture Energy, he is the EVP of Technology responsible for cross-functional technology support across the organization.

Prior to joining Key Capture Energy, Joel worked on battery energy storage project development, project execution, and asset management at Strata Clean Energy, led the energy storage consulting practice at Luminate focusing on transactional due diligence, and held various EPC positions in Kiewit’s power division.

Joel earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in Construction Engineering and Management with emphases in mechanical and electrical engineering.
